Are your tires puncture-prone?
I've just gotten my 4th puncture ( a screw this time) in about 25,000 miles. All my previous cars were driven a total of about 120,000 miles with one puncture. I don't know if it's the RFTs or shallow tread depth on the higher performance tires we get with these cars, but it seems too frequent.
I drive 50/50 highway/city (NYC). Same as my earlier cars. Is it just me with the lousy luck, or is this pretty much how it goes with everybody? |

It seems like it to me.
I had 4 punctures in 10K miles with the RFTs and I usually go 20-30K miles without any. |

Agreed. As hard as it can be to accept, it really is just bad luck.

Your luck with punctures is like my luck with dents on my doors!!! Total of 6 dents on 5 doors on my last 2 cars in the span of about 3 years!!! Oh and incase someone is wondering I wasn't responsable for any of them !

Could it be.....
that since the RFT's are much stiffer, it's easier for nails and screws to penetrate the tread? |
