Light flickering

Hi Guys,

Did a Xenon retrofit to a halo car the Hid's turn on but as soon as you turn the engine on they flicker the right side will shut off and the driver side flicker ....

The High beam seem to work okay with engine running...

Any Ideas what could be wrong here....

Thanks,
/A

Probably but the car is 09 model & high beams work fine its just the low beam that flickers like a strobe light and the relay on the harness is buzzing all the time...

sounds like a voltage problem, as in not enough, and drawing more current than the harness/relay/car is designed to provide.

You mean the inner halogen bulbs (Flash to pass) work fine but the new Xenon Hi/Lo (bi-xenon) are flickering? As I recall, a car originally coded with all factory Halogen lights used a square wave pulse to regulate the voltage. This would produce a flicker if hooked directly to a Xenon system with no modification(s). The flickering will quickly derate the Xenon bulbs and cause a failure. Did you reflash the car for Xenons or did this retrofit include some kind of capacitive filter?
