Looks like there is someone else out there copying my mods!!
Like the graphite exhaust tips and wheels, not sure about the interior but still think my car looks better!!! Again, some lead some follow!!!!

Sorry it may look good but its a waste of time, not meat to it... FFS we want more power or a proper LTD edition, not a few sparkling shiny bits and a gash colour coded central console..
WE WANT A FACKIN CSL.

It's a game the cousins from over yonder like to play. One starts with R then the next E etc etc. Much fun!

Interesting that BMW are offering cosmetic mods similar to those that Paul (M3Fast) has already done to his, having had the bits before he got the car lol. Looks damn good though.
I agree why not offer more power but then...........everything from the engine back would have to be 'beefed up'. It costs enough for a manufacturer to tune a N/A petrol engine as it is, without strengthening the drivetrain, diff, etc. My hunch is that the viable cost of all the latter could put the eventual asking price beyond what BMW feels the market would cough up. That asking price could also be nudging too close to the M5/M6 for comfort. |

Makes this special edition pointless.

An additional £3k ??? Surely buying a normal one and doing mods yourself as people have done here wouldn't cost £3k ?

They should have stripped the M3 out for the special edition and made it a proper CSL. Lose the leather seats and replace with the Performance seats, lose the carpets, stereo etc etc.
There is nothing 'special' about this. |

When you actually read what alterations/upgrades BMW did to the CSL in terms of engine tuning and cycle parts, it would be interesting to see how much all that would cost for the new M3.
If memory serves, BMW eventually relented in 1995 with the E36 after pressure from the car racing brigade and produced the M3 CSL. Maybe 'demands' for the E9x models could make them relent again. |
