Permanent polish like Supagard?
Hi,
I'm struggling to keep my black saphire looking nice and shiny! With water marks and dust its hard work. A few years ago I had a car where the exterior was treadted with a product called Supagard that was sold as a 'permanent polish' type effect. Can anyone recommend any product that I can apply myself to have the desired effect? At the mo the car is washed with Meg's gold class and then polished with Meg's gold class. It doesn't seem to last that long though?! Cheers. |

I'm not sure what Supagard is, but what you're looking for is a sealant, as opposed to a wax.
Collinite #476 is supposed to be long lasting There's also the Zaino sealant kit Those are just two I can think of.

The "permanent" solution is a complete kit for regular CARE of your paint. Nice washing implements, possibly a buffer/polisher, and your favorite combo of sealant and/or wax. There is yet to be a truly permanent solution that you apply once and forget.

Cars take effort to keep looking really clean, especially blacks (JB, SBM, etc). Having a good clean surface (washed and clayed) then treated with a good sealant every few months (such as Jetseal) and topped with your wax of choice every month or so (Poorboy's Nattys Blue is great for JB and SBM) will hopefully make things easier. ![]()

There is no real permanent protection. The longest lasting waxes I've used are Collinte 476 and 845. Sealants that last are Opti-Seal, Zaino, Four Star UPP, FK100, Duragloss 105, and M21.

Natty blue, good choice! I'm a fan, but it isn't too long lasting from what I've heard. Still, with the sealant underneath you should be fine.
