Black window trim really over $1300?

I was looking at the list price for black window trim for my E92 and was mind boggled by how expensive it is. It says that the piece which wraps around the quarter panel is $540 per side. The belt moldings were somewhere around $140. Does anyone have any insight on this or have ordered these pieces from BMW? I'd like to get the black trim but for that kind of money i dont know if its worth it. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Do any of you guys have pics of the vinyl? Just the word vinyl makes me a little skeptical. Looks like i might have to give it a try. Thanks

Does the trim have to come off the car in order to wrap it with vinyl? im guessing yes. I might try that temporarily because the downpipe and front lip are a priority. I could have it painted for cheap as well. Catch, your car looks awesome. very clean.

I found it really difficult to wrap the trim with vinyl while it was on the car. I just took it off and painted it.

just buy the vinyl from andrew@karbonwerke, it's only $20usd a roll..and it's more than enough for your trim!
