Another thumbs up for JB3

I just installed my JB3 this past weekend. The installation was a breeze. Seriously, I kept waiting for something to come along and put a kink into my plans, but it never happened. As for the power, there are plenty other posts on here that can account for that. Coming from a sstt, I can definitely feel a difference in power especially in the higher rpms where the sstt would fall flat. I haven't played around with any of the maps above 5. But from what I've been reading, map 6 and 7 are the $HIT. Not sure if I want to risk it with this crappy Cali 91. Again, no groundbreaking news here....just another great review of the JB3. All smiles here.

Toss in some 100 octane and switch to map 7 for some real fun! Enjoy!

welcome to the club!

maps 4 and greater are actually for 93 octane but YMMV.

Dont worry, I read the Governator was pushing for 15% ethanol in gas so we'll all have blown fuel pumps before long and then switch over to E85 for real octane boost! lol.

So before someone suggest you use the search function, sstt is the split second turbo tuner. That was the first tune I picked up in 2007. Yeah, I'm a long time reader first-time poster. The turbo tuner gave a nice push-you-into-the-seat feeling at lower rpms, but would leave something to desire up top. Don't get me wrong as I've taken it in and out of the car on plenty of occassions and it was a huge improvement over stock and was trouble-free. Now back to JB3. Map 3 had me approaching triple digits without any effort at all. The switch to Map 5 had me thinking, damn this car is extremely quick. I don't even want to think about May 6 or 7. Scary thing is...those aren't even the race maps. Be safe out there everyone.

Someone should pretend to be sick so they can get home early. I remember When I got mind. I left my office early so I could install it and play with it for a couple of hours before my 10 day trip to New York.

im ordering the BT Tool so i dont care. but if your not and worried about codes then stay on 5. But the extra $$$ to be able to run map 7 and eventually 8 and 9. its soooo worth it
