Aluminum Trim Warranty (Revisited)

I know there are a couple threads out there where members have said that their dealer have replaced the aluminum trim on their doors under warranty, but I wanted to know if anybody knows of a specific SIB that addresses the issue (like the door-handle-peeling SIB)?

I bought my 06 325i as a CPO, and the door had some pretty nasty nicks, scratches and dings from the seatbelt. I've read that replacement under the warranty might be dealership dependent. If that's so, has anybody in the Orange County, CA or Southern CA area had their trim replaced, and by which dealership?

There are no sib's regarding wood/aluminum trim being banged up.. It is soley dealer dependent.

100 percent at dealer's discretion. Ask nicely and see what they say.

I'm not in Cali but have 41k miles on my 335i and they just replaced the steering wheel trim and door handle trim under warranty. No questions asked..and those parts retail for like $300 total.

Hey, I was just in West Chester to visit my bro-in-law last week. Thinking of relocating 'back' to that area in the near future. How's the BMW scene there? Any groups or clubs or activities?
