What is the tire wear like for Standard Suspension E90?
I have a E90 with the standard suspension and 161 wheels. I recently purchased Vredestein's Ultrac Sessantas and have had them on the car for 1k miles during which the car's alignment has been within spec (not perfect but within a few minutes).
I recently took the car to have the wheels rebalanced as there was vibrationat highways speed, and when the wheels were off I noticed that as they were rolled to the machine, they were leaning to the outside edge of the wheel. I had no idea whats going on. I thought the typical wear of the tires on our cars are to the inside edge, since we have negative camber. The wear was much more pronounced on the front wheels than the rears. Anyone have any ideas? I do some spirited driving around here, with some hard corners, but I rarely break traction and I babied these tires through the first 400 miles. What is the normal wear like for these cars? Also, if anyone knows the exact specifications for the camber, toe and caster measurements for the E90 if they could let me know that would be great. I might take the car to an independent alignment shop and have them do it, as it would be much cheaper than the dealer. Thanks, Clark |

No one? Any ideas? All I want to know is how are your tires wearing on a standard E90. Under reasonably fast corners will the tires wear more on the outside edges? Most of my driving is highway, straightline driving, with 2 runs into a parking garage with a circular up and down ramp, and one 45 mph off ramp, thats about it for me. Occasionally I will toss the car around on back roads, but even then I dont usually slide, its more hard braking and acceleration, and some tire squeal on the edge, but those drives happen like once every 2 months or so.

First of all, do some math on the TIME chane before you get all pissy when no one answers your question.
Secondly, if you have questions about tire wear and camber/toe settings then use the search feature on this site or a site called GOOGLE. you may have heard if it. You might learn something in the process. Third, tire wear and suspension aren't necessarilly realated. Fourth, SEARCH

I don't have sports (well not till I put on my new suspension on Sat.) but I can tell you that the tire wear is about the same as on a sports suspension. I got 27K miles on my car and I will have to change my tires before the summer is over. This is why I decided to upgrade my rims and get regular tires.
