QUestion for Gary or any other wheel/tire expert?

I'm pretty much sold on replacing my 17" 185's for 18" ASA GT1's. Which offset works better on an e92, I see there are 2 available, 30mm and 40? Also whichever works better, I would like to use spacers to get a more aggressive look? What size(s) will I need with these wheels? Will the centering rings required for these wheels have any effect on using spacers?
And finally last question, what's the best tire size for the GT1's in 18 inch to not have the stretched look?
Thanks for your help... Lots of confusion here.

The 30mm offset version would be 10mm closer to the fenders than the 40mm offset version for a more aggressive look. Centering rings are needed and included at no charge. Tire sizes that will fit will include 225/40R18 or 235/40R18. The wider 235/40R18 would have a bit of a less stretched appearance, but in my opinion 225/40R18 doesn't look stretched on an 8" wheel anyway.

Unfortunately we do not sell spacers so I'm not familiar with their use and how the rings would be affected by them.
