BMWCCA PNWR Mountain Twisties Tour

The BMWCCA Pacific NW region is having their annual mountain twisties tour on August 27th. Just wanted to see if any of you were planning on going. I just sent my RSVP in today. My understanding is that non-members can go to one event to see if they like it or not. You should just join anyway though, it's easily worth it.

Well, ya, you could hide in the parking lot and follow the group through the whole trip. Seems kinda stupid though. Why not just join and support the club? The magazine, rebate on new cars, and discounts from local merchants makes membership easily worth it.

The point though, was to see if anyone planning on going cause it should be a good time.

Hope to see ya there. I'm gonna be a bit tired as well. Going to be doing an autocross on Saturday for most the morning and afternoon. As for Nick, go ahead and give him my number, hopefully I can help out.

Just got back from the drive, you missed out on some amazing roads. It was a long day though. ~400 miles and less than 14 of it was straight. Everything from 80mph sweepers on highway 410 over Chinook Pass to 15mph hairpins on Forest Road 25 near Mt. St. Helens. My neck and shoulders are sore just from steering. There were quite a few people I hadn't met before, so that was nice too.

Ya know, I'm trying to remember if I saw even a single patrolman. Only one I can remember seeing was a park ranger in an Explorer who didn't seem interested in pulling anyone over. I heard someone on the radio saying they saw an undercover officer on highway 18 at the very start but nothing after. Guess we got lucky.

You can check into the hood river hopfest tour. I don't know all the details except that it's 2 days long and goes to the hopfest in hood river
