What price to expect for brand new 2008 335i Coupe?

Does anybody know what sort of deal I would be able to strike up with a local BMW dealer in Australia these days for a 2008 Auto 335i Coupe, M-sport package, 19" rims with full dealer delivery?

I'm trying to work out if I got ripped off or not.

There is a thread already where people have stated what they paid. You should be able to pick one up for close to 110k drive away these days, if it's got more than 1,000kms on it, knock off a grand or two for every thousand kms.

If you want to work backwards, here's the pricelist from October 2008 (excludes on road costs).

I didn't think there'd be any New 2008 models left after the runout promotions earlier this year.

If you are ready to buy the car I would have them provide you with the full retail price of the particular car then you deduct 20% and write them out a cheque for that amount, they would more than likely accept your offer.

+1

Otherwise the 2nd hand market is very slow and there are some good buys.

But sounds like the OP already has purchased?

Well, I haven't bought it yet, but for above poster I think that's way too much of a discount?? I tried that at some dealers already and was turned away. (Still waiting for a phone call)

For example $130k for 335i Coupe. After 20% it is $104,000. Everyone is citing the economic conditions as the result. Perhaps, but car sales in May SURGED, likely due to the 50% tax allowance on new cars?

Has anyone had REAL buying experience lately who has actually bought a 335i who can chime in...

As per the thread i linked to before;
If it's got demo km's on it then 20% off list is the norm, see the one Nightrain picked up $104k on the road.
QUM01Z got his for $120k on the road.
I got one without a sunroof down to $105k on the road, when i was looking over a year ago.
If your ordering one $115k should be easily attainable, 15% discount off RRP is standard and if you've been reading this forum (or at least have read a heap of the old posts) you'll realise that, that is exactly what people were getting, even when these cars were just released.

Are you paying cash or looking to finance it through BMW? As doing finance for them is getting harder these days. If your paying cash the dealer may not be taking you seriously, if they aren't walk into the next tell them what you want how much your going to pay and say give it to me. Don't forget to ask for EPP and the rest of the jazz as well.

I just picked up an April 09 build 330d for 18K under RRP, I know BMW are more likely to discount an 08 model than a newly released model, they won't take you seriously until you hand over a deposit with your offer.

Guys I was referring to a brand new 2008 model. You think getting 20% off RRP is standard? e.g. $130k @ 20% = $104,000 BRAND new for 335i Coupe.

If it is a 2008 model with 0kms on the clock it is not brand new, it's 1 year old, as such it has already suffered 1 years depreciation & is worth at least 20% less than a new 2009 model. Any dealer telling you otherwise is full of it!
For a brand spanking new ordered from the factory 2009 model, 15% is easily attainable.
Why the need to repeatedly ask?
