Custom order concern?

Hey guys,

Long time lurker but first time poster. Question for anyone out there that's done a custom order. I am recently awaiting shipment on a custom ordered 335i, pretty well loaded with anti-theft alarm. Well, tonight I decided to track it with BMW Owner's Circle, and the screen which lists what options were requested on the car showed everything I ordered except for the alarm. Should I be worried that the car wasn't built with the alarm or has anyone else experienced this but had everything that was custom ordered present upon delivery.

Thanks for any input.

BMWNA's website is quirky that way. As long as all the options you requested are on the printed order your CA gave you, you'll be fine.

My options list on the website changed now and then. Most of the time it didn't list any options! My CA warned be about this.

Congrats on your order! The wait begins.......

Is this true for anyone else or does anyone who has a car on order have the same dilemma?

From what I understand, anyone. Just make sure your production order receipt from your CA is correct - that is the bible.

Thanks for the info Dpratt. I'll give my CA a call next week just to confirm that the theft alarm was ordered.

I had the same thing happen to me just recently. Call my CA and confirmed that all was good.

I can confirm what dpratt34 said, owners circle does not show the correct info. For me it shows the wrong car and options, but CA said it will do so.

Ditto for me. I have an M3 on order, and at various times the BMW website has not listed the DCT transmission. Be sure you get a copy of the Vehicle Inquiry Report. If your options are there, you should be good.

Alarm is generally a dealer installed option -- not done at the factory.

the Alarm can also be a Port installed option. sometimes, when they know well in advance, the dealer will arrange for certain "Accessories" to be installed at the Port on priority one/sold cars.

The Alarm is an accessory not a factory option

According to my CA, it is a factory option now. Just passing along info - don't know for sure.
