What Kind of Deal Am I getting - Good/Bad?
Hey Everyone,
Looking to lease a 328xi Coupe ('09). Metallic Paint Premium Pckg Heated Seats Navigation iPod Auto Transmission Logic 7 Re: the Lease payments, they include the down payment prior to any dealer fees, tag fees, etc. I will do a 12k/36 mo. Dealer 1: @ 0 down: $650 mo. (I will likely put $7500 down, just wanted this price to compare it to my monthly payments @ $7500 down) @ 7500 down: $394 (w/o Logic 7). Getting the Logic will add $11 bucks. Dealer 2: @ 7500 down: $384 (w/o Logic 7); $394 with Logic 7. (Best Deal I've received) Dealer 3: Giving it to me in the $425 range without the Logic I believe. I wouldn't go here. But the money factor they said was .0019. I'm assuming that is the standard for BMW Financial at the moment. The residual (If I recall Correctly) is .161 The Sticker Price of the Car I believe is $47,500ish. Dealer 1 will give it to me at just under $45,000. Does anyone know how multiple security deposits work? And if you can pay in advance so many months to lower the overall monthly payment? I heard at Mercedes, you could pay up to a year's lease in advance, so in the long run you are saving say $1500. Could I work a little better deal than the numbers I'm getting? I appreciate if anyone can give me feedback. Thanks! |

I don't think those are good deals at all.
$7500 down on a lease? No. Do multiple security deposits if you must. Take option 1. $650 a month with 0 down. Still, $650 sounds like a lot for a 328 coupe. |

sounds like a pretty raw deal to me. just got my car 500 over invoice which i felt like was a lot, but i worked w/the guy a few times over the last couple of months and didn't mind throwing him a bone. i wasn't going to be putting any money down on the lease (12k, 36mo) and bank denied cause i never bought a car before so they want 1500 down. prepaying a lease is stupid, like prepaying your rent, why would you do that? keep cash on hand.

oh and btw, in feb when i worked out the px on a 335xi, my lease payments would have been 657, so you paying 650 on a 328 is out of this world.
i realize i didn't give any parts of my deal to help you compare but i'm doing a 328i, ipod, heated seats, jet black, leatherette, and sport package for 398/mo 36mo. 1500 down for bank reason, other wise only bank fee, sec deposit, 1st mo, and DMV fees were included in COD. |

BMW doesn't give you any savings to "pre-pay" your lease payments. There is no advantage to doing this on their end but, if it helps you to do a full term pre-pay because of some write-off, etc. then you might consider it.
Multiple Security Dep. ----- BMW will allow you to buy the MF on the lease down , I believe, a total of .7. One sec dep = 0.1 This will lower your monthly payments betwween 6-8 dollars per deposit/ .1 and you will get all the deposits back at the end of the lease unless you end up owing for some sort of penalty
