Amount of $$ saved through ED question
Hi All I'm currently thinking about the 335i coupe and is considering doing ED (i'm a non-bmw owner so this is a noob question). I hear people are saving anywhere from $4-5k AFTER their trips. I ran a calculation of what it'd cost me and i dont come up w/ the savings anywhere near it. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Car: $37,760 + $1250 (ED price in LA) Dest: $695 Sports: $910 Metallic: $495 Airfair: ~$500 (lufthansa's buy 1 get 1 free) Tax and other state fees: $4k ish Total: roughly $45k If i bought it through a dealer its a lil under $47k savings of at most 2k. where are people getting the 4k savings? What did i do wrong in the calculations? Please let me know. Thanks.

I wouldn't expect to save any money doing ED unless you just fly over, pickup the car and drop it off and fly back the same day. I know my trip cost just about as much as I saved. I still got a free vacation out of it though, so it was well worth it to me.
