So my dad's friend was bragging about his 07 Maserati...

The guy goes on and says that his 2007 Maserati Quattroporte base model would kick my 335i's ass. I looked up the specs and it has 420hp and 340tq but weighs 4100lbs. My dad was asking me if my 335i would beat him. I told him that it would. Any of you guys have any experience with these cars so I can shut his buddy up? His buddy even went so far as saying if I wanted to try his buddy has some land somewhere where we could run...

He's stock with an auto.. I am running JB+@75%.. I think with my tune and 100 octane I think I would take him...

hmmm.. yeah you prob will beat him... but... in the end... he's still in a materati... and you're in a 335i... I mean no harm $hit they are great cars and I drive one... but its like that super civic with gt35 telling everyone he pulled on a stock 335i... just my 2c.

You will take him bone stock.A Maserati qport is more luxury than all out performance.With just an SSTT or JB+ you will embarass him.I ran a qport on the thruway in 01 with my 01 Camaro SS,6mt when it was bone stock.We started after paying the toll in Harriman NY going south.I smoked him out of the gate,around the right hand turn onto the thruway and blew him away until trffic slowed us down.I,m not sure what year the Maserati was,i,m sure they are quicker now than in 01,but it looked brand new.

I have driven the 06 model thanks to a friend from the embassy. Quiet slow imho but then again I had a 500+ awhp Evo. You probably would fair a bit better with a jb3. Just borrow one from someone for a day
