Who's running w/o front license plates?

Just wondering. I am in Portland and am w/o and have noticed a lot of people (of all makes of cars) without em and driving around with the plate on the dash. Have a lot of people been pulled over recently?

I have gotten pulled over once last August in Camas, WA. Told the cop that I recently had a clear bra put on and am waiting for it to set up more before putting it back on...let me off with a warning.

Ridiculous Law! e9x's look silly with them on!

I had no front license plate for 2 years and was never stopped. Even when a cop came by to observe the damage in an accident, he made no mention of the missing plate. I guess it varies from cop to cop. It wasn't until recently that we got a front license plate because someone at the DOL started bitching about it and my parents got scared

No front plate on my E90 330 for almost 4 years without any trouble. Now, I have no front plate on again with my E92 M3. Most my buddyies dont have it on too.

I haven't had one in years... Never had an issue except when I drove something more Fast and Furious, then I got a fix it ticket :-p

Got busted today! Parked in downtown Portland for an hour and got a friendly surprise on my windshield. Although I had the plate on my dash ticket said "front plate not affixed to front bumper." Looks like $35 will be going to the city of Portland. Does anyone know is this a fix it ticket? It doesn't say on it.

I am keeping it off, considering how many times it has saved me from photo radar for speeding, not to mention it looks better.

Can't count the times I got pulled over in the Integra, WRX, and STi but I haven't been pulled over in the E90 (knock on wood). I've never been pulled over in my trucks. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was the cars I was driving. My E90 doesn't look anywhere near as flashy as the STi did. The cops over here on the east side of the state don't have anything to do so we here a lot of stories over license plates, dark tint, and too low or too high of vehicles.

When i had my rsx-s I got pulled over for it but i haven't been pulled over yet in the bmw but it's true police officers on the east side of oregon have nothing else better to do then give tickets out for tint and front plates

i got pulled over yesterday right by my house on Alki ave. cop was a fucking dick. pulled me over just for no front plates. he asked where my plate was and i said my trunk. when i opened my trunk he jumped back and told me to put my hands up. he saw a long bag and thought it was a gun, but it was just the bag for my camera tripod. dumbass.

$124 ticket. i don't give a shit. like others, i just consider this a "front plate tax" that i'm willing to pay to not have the plate on.

Always had a front plate but I seem to get pulled over on a yearly basis. This year's excuse was that the officer misread read one of the letters on my back plate. He walked around and checked the front when he stopped me. Been stopped twice for seat belt check. My complaint is that if they can see the shoulder strap, would someone really waste time holding the clasp to look like the belt was latched instead of just latching it?
