Dam Potholes!!
After driving 3 months so very carefully around town weaving and dodging most of the POTHOLES.....my front passenger side wheel met it's doom around the Back Bay Station area....
i was only going 20 - 25 mph and didn't see it coming as i was looking for a parking spot. anyone think i can hold the city of Boston responsible or have tried?

Dude that sucks. Good luck trying to get the city to do anything. Doubt it will happen. The roads here are so bad, I just avoid modded wheels altogether.

That's gnarly.. I'm sure you could get the city to do something but I doubt it'd be worth the pain.

Dam i knew i should have gone with thicker sidewall tires......my PS2s are so thin that it couldn't provide any cushion on impact.

I went back to the scene after work today and took some pics of the pot hole for my claim report...the exact location of the 2 pot holes were Columbus Ave. & Chandler St going towards Columbus & Clarendon St. So be careful as the pot hole seems small but it can definitely cause a big dent as in my case.

With a raised piece of steel in the road like that you might have a case. Just remember the city has no money, they won't be handing out checks for stuff like this (as much as it sucks). By the time you get a lawyer involved, it probably won't be worth it.
Good luck man, and let us know what happens.

Holy SHIT those are craters. You got a case if you have pics like that and the damage you have to your car.
Good luck man!

I saw something on the news last year that they drag their feet as much as possible and give you the run around and eventually a lot of people give up or forget about it and the they only end up paying out like 20% of claims, keep on them.
www.rimpro.com up in Tewksbury does a great hope on bent wheels if you need a place, or Rim and Wheel works in Newton - the dealers all take it to one place or the other.

This is why I am on the fence about getting 19" in Boston. I hate driving the roads around here even worried about messing up my 17" stock rims
