Will my car recognize TPMS if I swap wheels with a friend?

My friend and I both have 09 335 E92s.

I have a set of 189s, he has a set of 230s. If I took his 230s and placed them onto my car, will my car recognize TPMS that is on his wheels?

Or, do I need to swap TPMS sensors as well?

If anyone can answer this question, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, and sorry if this has been asked before, I tried searching and couldnt find anything.

No need to swap TPMS sensors - It will however recognize new sensors and you will just need to reset. Look in your manual for instructions

usualy it means pressing the tire button next to the unlock doors buttob below the center air outlet on the dash for 5 seconds after you turn on the ignition
just did it today when i had to use one of my winter wheels/tires instead of my damaged right rear
