Before I moved house I used to use Henry Bros, both the city centre branch and the Hillington service centre. Both were great and I had no issues. I believe they were bought out by Douglas Park though so I don't know if things have stayed the same.

Park's (old Henry Bros.) seem all right - but don't expect a courtesy car.

I will soon be getting my first service and I think the cost is about £200

Alans Right Douglas Parks (Townhead Glasgow or Hamilton) are probably the best as Harry Fairbairns (Still under that name) is now currently owned by Arnold Shark oops mean Clark.

As for a courtesy car you'll get one but there is a big waiting list as im waiting till August for mine as my car needs a new breather pipe for the fuel tank (2 Day job)

I wouldnt touch Dougi Parks at all. I have a mate who deals with high end cars, mercs, bentley, RR, Aston, porsche, BMW etc etc etc, I use him currently for service intervals. He told me that Harry Fairbairns in Glasgow is best as they are all the original staff and have years and years of experience, I dealt with them a few months back and the guy who I was dealing with had been there for 25 years. Plus I found them very very helpfull and they listened.
There is a place in Govan who are independant BMW specialist, I have heard good things about them.

Walesy Now that Harry Fairbairns is owned and run by Arnold Clark a lot of the staff havr and are leaving as they dont like the way Mr Clark runs things also due to the fact that it is run by Arnold clark a lot of previous customers have now jumped ship to dougie parks.

Heard of the place in govan and there is also a place at Cathcart Ronnie Weaver BMW Specialists

Another vote for henry Bros in townhead. Pleasant and friendly but don't ask them to adjust the handbrake - £50! Otherwise service was cheapest around and if you want to supply the oil they are still happy to do the service (though that was my old M3)

That was only earlier this year I was in there aswell, maybe it's went septic then. Yeah, I have heard great things about R Weaver also.

I just dont trust Dougie Parks at all unfortunatley, the stiched me up a few years back with a courtesy car, car was damaged (noted also in the paper work) when I took it away and then they said it was me and claimed my insurance. Fairbairns gave me great service I msut admit on my warranty claim.

Indeed - I bought a MINI and 2 BMW's from HF (the 2nd BMW was when it was just taken over by Uncle Arnold) but switched to Parks this year for my latest car and haven't looked back.

I've used the service place at Hillington for a few years and find them quite on the ball and good to deal with.

Hi Guys

My car is due service in a couple of month and I called around to know what price I could get for Oil service and brake fluid:

Douglas Park £300
Harry Fairbairn Gifnock £300
Harry Fairbairn Irvine £218

So for me even though I got to drive down to Irvine (which is a good drive) it will be HF Irvine this time...

That said, I do not know how HF Irvine is going to "transform" in the long run since the take over from AC.

Just my 2p contribution to the thread.

Cheers for all the replies guys.

Not sure if i'll be keeping my car for a few more years, so dealer service it is.
Otherwise i would definitely go down the independent route.

Quite a large difference in price with Irvine, but once i factor in the 4 hours driving 180miles petrol (there and back twice), i'm not sure it makes much sense for me in terms of savings.

Booked in for Parks in Townhead. To get courtesy car (need to pay £12 insurance - i guess that's common these days?) i need to wait till 27th. I was told -3000miles on the service is fine as i'm -400 already.

I'm also getting them to look at crashing sat nav, and alarm which seems to go off randomly every once in a while.

This include brake fluid as well and the quote is for a 325d so more expensive than service for a 320d I guess

Think they also change the microfilter (pollen filter)... ?

You should have went back to DP or HF(G) and told them that HF(I) were doing it for £200 - you might have managed to get it under £200
