Your Roundel!
Hello all!
I was just wondering what type of roundels you guys went with. I'm looking to replace mines and was wondering what everyones experience was with the stickers vs. replacing the entire roundel. Horror stories for either one is welcome! |

Yup. I did a search and found alot of information on DIYS. Figured I'd go the dental floss way if I was going to replace the entire roundel. But, I was wondering... if the stickers are just as good, it would be easier to add on.

I'm not a fan of the CF Roundel, especially the black ones. Curious though, is the CF fake or is it real carbon fibre?

Fully agree, you need to be proud of the factory roundel! Never mess with the roundel. Haha.

i love the oem look to be honest
but i mean, depends on a car... I saw a Red M3 with Black/Red rims with a Red/Black roundel, looked really smooth and i saw a pink and white one on a AW e90 look cute, and the girl was cute too heh |

Yeah, if you are going to do it, do the full roundel. THat being said, I have a full set of black and white ones that I am taking off my car. Only had them for a month, but I am going back to factory. The longer I have them, the more tacky they feel. If you are interested (since I see you are buing a e90) send me a PM and I will give you a good deal on them. They look great and are good quality, just not my style.
CF is a big no no unless you have other CF bits, specifically a hood and boot to go with them.

The roundel shown in the pic is full carbon fiber, twice layered with the white/blue over the black base.

I did the "metalic carbon" look stickers for $40. You get what you pay for. They're coming of and look like crap now. Def spend a lil more and buy the full roundels!!!

If someone made the roundels in oem colors I would go that route although you'd still have to contend with the wheel caps. I used the Bimmian overlays on my E46 and they lasted years without problems. Just put them on my E90 and they look great. If you take your time putting them on, you would need a magnifying glass to tell they aren't made that way. They are so thin they don't look "stuck on" at all - which is what I imagine most people think sucks about them.
No offense to the "majority" vote but those full CF roundels look like complete crap. I'm shocked so many people seem to like them. They remind me of a cheap set of Gucci or D&G knockoff sunglass or something encrusted with rhinestones! ![]() |
