Is it crazy to remove the driver's side door???

Hey, all- has anyone ever had their driver's side door completely removed for repair purposes? Does the integrity/tightness of the door become compromised as a result???

Why do you need to remove your door?!

Are you talking about the interior door panel; or taking the actual door off the frame?

In order to repair a dent via paintless dent removal, the repair person said he would need to remove the whole door off the car. He said it was really simple and not a big deal, but it sounds pretty scary, no? I just don't want the door to lose its original tightness/integrity...

I've never heard of the need to remove the door... how would that help in removing a dent? What type of access would he gain?

If you look toward the edge of the door, you can see a slight damage. The repair person said he could remove it only if the door was off the hinge.

Usually with Paintless dent removal they need to access the panel from behind to pop it back in place. That was I was told when my car received hail damage.

I guess I shouldn't have asked how he was going to remove the damage-should have just given him the green light to do the job...

Asiann- did the hail damage marks get removed completely? Were there many hail dents or just a few???
