Question Configuring 335i... need color advice...

Well I've had dark cars in the past, my current ride is pretty much like sparkling graphite metallic with black leather inside.

I want to try something different, so I'm thinking Alpine White with Coral Red interior and Gray Poplar Wood Trim.

You guys think that is too wild for a car I'll probably have for a good 5+ years or so ( I'll be buying, not leasing)? I'm worried I'll be crazy about it for a few months and then start wondering what the hell I was thinking.

Alternately, I would go with something far more conservative, maybe a similar combo to what I already have.

What do you guys think?

The Coral Red is nice, but I don't think I would get it...unless you really like red...go for it! And if you do...you should go with the brushed aluminum trim. Alpine is a good combo with the red...but the silver or graphite with red are better.

I'm in the same exact boat. This time, I think I'll still go with a sapphire black but a cream beige interior with dark burl walnut trim.

I just traded in my Z4 with Black over Red. It was sooo hot lookin! When I traded it in, all the sales guys were drooling. I had it for 3 yrs. and loved every second of it. The red got numerous compliments. The black was obviously tough to keep clean.

I just ordered my 335i sedan with alpine white over black with burl. It's a more classy look, in comparison to the edgy black over red.

Good Luck!

(P.S. I changed my mind 3 times at the dealership on my colors. I ended up going with my original choices.)

The red interior with the white car might be a little too much and would prob. get old after a little while, esp since you want to keep it 5+ years.

silver and red would be better and you would have to have silver trim

Yeah, white with black and alum or gray poplar. The one beef I have is that I've never seen Alum in person and in the pictures, I feel it looks a lot "cheaper" than the wood. Looks almost like plastic, though I know that probably is a result of the picture.

First of all, you'll never get tired of Alpine white. If you get sick of color white fast, none of the colors will last you long.

Thats just a possibility. I don't think you will. the coupe looks soooo damn good with alpine white.

As for red interior, I would go for the red too. If decide to get the 335i this winter instead of the SLK AMG im looking for, it'll be AW/Red/Aluminum. I know black interior will look more classy and won't wear out on your eyes as much, but its good to spice up your life sometimes. Don't stay boring all the times and follow what others do.
