BMW Roadside assistance cannot provide unlocking service

Just an FYI that even their people (contractors) cannot get into your car, at least without you signing a damage waiver. Also the CAA guys reference guide says not to attempt it. I think this is good information to know!

Was a cottage party and had locked gf's purse, wallet, and phone in the car. Then she locked my keys in the car. The spare keys are 150kms away, and the spare keys to my condo are in her purse. It's fortunately all sorted now though.

By the way I wasn't too clear, it was both of our house keys, wallets, and phones in the car, not just hers.

I had CAA tow me home without showing any ID, then I had the concierge let me into my condo, again without ID.

Damn sure glad I have CA. It will not let you lock your doors if the fob is in the car nor will it let the truck lock if the fob is in the trunk.

BMW Assist can also unlock your car if you have it.

bmw assist unlocked my car once succesfully. A second time and they couldnt get a signal because it was in a small area where not even cell phones worked good. I never signed anything.

unlock car through cell phone

hey just wondering if anyone had successfully unlock their car through cell phone? my friend claim that he tried it once to unlock his car.

basically he somehow lock the car with his remote inside (tsx), he then ask his brother to unlock his car using a backup remote while talking to him over the cell phone.

i'm sure some of you had heard about it before, but have anyone really tried it in real life?

^

I believe I read somewhere it was just a myth. And it was busted in the same article.
