Should I be waxing a new car?

I just got my e92 BSM msport. I get conflicting opinions on if I should wax a new car or not. Any thoughts?

Since the dealer prepped your car, they already applied something to the paint. If you want to wax it again now (with products you selected), you'll want to wash it with Dawn and strip any protection off the paint. Then start fresh with a sealant and wax.

Definitely, the dealer only does the minimum to keep the car looking good. I would recommend getting a professional detailing done on the car like one on this page (check the bottom):

The first thing I did when I got my new 335 home was to clay bar and wax it.
This really made a huge difference in the way the paint looked.

Absolutely the FIRST thing you do before waxing it up ........ night and day difference in shine/clarity of the paint no matter what color you have.

The answer is YES absolutely!!!!!!!

1) Thorough wash
2) Light skim of clay
3) Polish optional
4) Wax or seal definately

As an enthusiast and as a professional detailer, dont think twice!
