Question about the Performance Center delivery...

How is the payment handled? Do I pay at my lcoal dealer before I pick up the car? The reason why I'm asking is that I am trading in my MINI and am wondering how the logistics would work out if I opted for the PDC delivery.

Also, I've already placed my order - is it too late for me to request this delivery option?

For those not familiar with this option:

Irv is exactly right. Contact your CA now!

while this is NOT an "official" BMW website, the facts appear to be true:

My CA has submitted all of my paperwork & it looks like I'll get a late October delivery date - I can't wait!!!

One more question though - typically how far in advance do you have to square up with the dealer you purchased the car from?

All paperwork/payment needs to be squared up about 2 weeks before PCD date. This is to give ample time for your centre to communicate to PCD that its ok to release the car (payment or financing made) as well as address to other details.

My CA said the car would be finsihed by early next week. He had anticipated an early October delivery date at the dealer, but since I'm doing PCD now, the car will take a slower boat (stopping at the Carolinas rather than NY). So, it's now a late October delivery.

You have to use Donnie as yoru driving instructor. He was mine. What a great time I had. So worth the drive to pick the car up. Also ask about the hot lap!

Hey Donnie,

Im doing PCD as well. My build week is 1st week of september. I have no idea how long it will take to get to pcd compared to a normal dealer delivery.

I have a 335i with sport on order. I have been waiting for this car over a year! Deposit in for a year this month. So I am obbessed with it.

So obbessed its getting hard to justify waiting another 2 or 3 weeks to go to PCD in South Carolina since I live in Texas for school.

But I have heard such great things about it from so many people on this forum I think I am just going to HAVE to wait it out and do it.

so if possible going with the forums recommendations again could I get you as my driver as well?

Ben

Hey Donnie,

I'm doing PCD in November, and wanted to know if you guys will be doing deliveries the week of Thanksgiving, Mon 20 - Fri 24 (excluding Thu, of course).

I assume you'll be my instructor, so I can't wait to get there and take a spin with you

Just curious - do you teach your students with automatics only, or do they drive stick if the customer is picking up a stick?
