i was wondering if anyone knows if you can remove the lower middle mesh grille and keep it off? will this look bad and or screw something up? i have an '06 325xi and i really dont like the look of the finishing rods, but removing them leaves an ugly space where they should be...pleasee help!

wont screw anything up its a pain in the ass, i couldn't work it out until i got the bumper off of the car, doesn't look to bad just has a few tabs around it where the mesh part clips in, that are more or less noticeable depending on the color of your car

That may work with the 335 because the intercooler will protect the AC Condenser from getting holed by a flying rock, but don't try it with a 328.
Because of the high internal pressures and the thin alloy tubing they are made from, the AC Condenser is quite vulnerable to damage and very expensive to replace. Been there, done that.
