Used Alpine 300watts RMS mono sub
JL Prefab 10inch 3w3: sounds great
Didn't want anything that will bump my panels off, just wanted to feel the bass a bit.

The DIY for amp and sub with IDRIVE helped alot but
it was impossible for me to use wiretap to get into those thick wires so I had to cut the wires to get access

RATTLING: only spot the car rattled was the cover for the rear brake signal in the cabin....simply took the cover off and applied weatherstrip (foam with double sided tape on it (LOWES)

with an aftermarket HU wit RCA connections, the amp would be connected to rca's, positive cable, negative cable, and remote wire.

Can the stock unit from the Logic 7 deck adjust subwoofer output?

How/what cables are needed to get the amp hooked up to the car with logic 7?

To answer your first question, you can't adjust the level of the sub outputs on any of BMW's headunits. (Not that I know of.) On the L7 system you have an equalizer that you can use to adjust frequencies. In order to connect an aftermarket amp to the L7 system you need a LOC to tap into the sub output channels...after the amp, not before. L7 has a fiber-optic input to the amp so you can't get a signal before unless you get a de-equalizer and make the signal flat so it can be usable. You can also get the HU recoded but you're probably just looking for the simplest way which would be using the LOC.

in a 07 335i sedan with i-drive/logic7 what exact LOC would I need.
If possible send me a direct link to 1 or 2 of them that are compatible with my car so I can purchase one?

You want to connect that to the sub outputs of the L7 amp, not the rear speakers like the description said. Search for the "Ultimate Subwoofer Guide" and follow the diagram for your car in that thread. Btw, I just answered you're question twice, in less detail in the other thread.
