I scraped a cement pole..

so i scraped a pole in a parking garage. its not dented but I think the paint got scraped off. judging from the pictures, is my only option to get the entire door repainted? Or is there some sort of way it could be buffed out or repaired without repainting the entire door?

If you can scrape your finger nail across it and feel it then it needs repainting. Just from looking at it you need to get the entire door painted or hope they do a really good job of blending. Sorry to hear about the accident. Good luck!

Probably the one the dealership uses.

I never found any good shops while I was living in Austin.

I would try buffing it out first. Youll be surprised to see how most if not all will come out.

I agree. At first look I thought you were right down to bare metal, but if there is no dent, the paint should come right off with rubbing compound. Good luck.

Odds are it is mostly paint transfer as others have mentioned. If so clay or polish will take it off.

this is what happens when you try to drive back home after hitting up 4th/6th street.

ne how, i agree with one of the above responses, try buffing it out first. if you are sure you got down to the bone, then you'll have to repaint it. At least you do not have any dents!
