The expectation is that the hp's are underrated, further more men expect that the power below the peak will be strongly increased!
The kit includes software, water radiator, different pump and a bigger radiator fan as far as I understood...
I'm planning to just order the cooling parts and leave the ecu as it is...

On the German site they publish these figures:
0-100 km/h : -0.2s (5.3 instead of 5.5s)
80-120 km/h in 5th gear (manual) : -0.5s (5.7 instead of 6.2)

Both quite an improvement. I think as well that the power gain is more then published.... and eventhough it is not cheap, you will have no issues with warranty.

that is not much of an improvement for what i'm sure is an expensive OEM mod.

hell, most people are hitting mid to low 4's on street tires w a piggy. High 3's are documented w/ drag radials w the typical mods.

25hp serious?! What a waste of money for only that little performance. I'm assuming they will charge some outrageous figures like $1k-$2k for the kit. Even a Catless Dps can produce 20-30 hp alone as long as your ecu is modded. Fail...

The so-called "performance power kit" is a bernie madoff style rip off.

I would be interested in some of their cooling mods, but not "power" mods.

25hp?!

I get safely get 40hp from a SSTT that takes 2 seconds to put in and 2 seconds to take out...for $200 if not, less.

The measly figures have been well known for several months now. Still, for some with enough cash lying around and the need for absolute warranty preservation that may still be an option. Obviously, BMW wanted to leave some room for the Alpina B3 BT and the M3, so they could not go beyond these upgrades.

Recently the price was published for the E92 in Germany: from 1449 EUR upwards (not clear what this means exactly). In particular, it is not specified whether this price also includes the labour cost (which is estimated at 4.5h) or only the hardware parts; otherwise the total price would be around 2000 EUR. Availability in Germany: beginning of September.

Quite possibly the biggest waste of money one could ever spend. If someone has the money to COMPLETELY waste on this, they would have the money not to worry about warranty work (or lack thereof) with other better performance mods.

If it's "only" 2.000 EUR (I read before that it would be over 3k including labour??) I may actually think about it, moreover to improve the cooling.

If you add the cost of an upgraded oil cooler (+/- 1.000 EUR) and an upgraded radiator (+/- 500 EUR) you're actually not that far away pricewise.

Now we still need to know how this oem power kit will interact with our favorite tunes...

The main benefit of this kit isn't the small hp gain, it's the extra hardware that comes with it and I think the extra cooling components definitely make this worth it.

A fan will only help at low speeds where there may not be enough air flow across the radiator to take full advantage of the heat transfer. Hopefully these hardware updates include a higher flowing pump which has benefits at all speeds.
