you might have issues with the front, the biggest I have seen on this forum is 245 in the front, some people have ran 245 all around but I have yet to see 255 all around.....oops forgot the person that did the 245 all around stayed with a square setup, keeping everything at 18x8.5

Check out this thread:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=267348 Right now he's running 265 fronts and 275 rears on 18x9.5 et35. Contact HP Autowerks to see if they're having any rubbing issues.

I'd say you would be best with 18x8.5 ET38 wheels for your proposed setup. Have a look at post #27 here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=56894&page=2 According to this post, it is going to be 4 ~ 5mm from the strut tube with the 255 ET38. It will also be very close to the fender as well. I don't think I would do this because it seems too close and may rub when loaded. I think I read elsewhere that you want to use Michelin PS2 tyres. They have the very square sidewalls so there is an even greater chance of rubbing on the front fenders, or when turning to full lock. If you can't fit 255 on the front, the fall back position might be to use 245s on front. Front 18x8.5 ET38, with 245/35/18 Rear 18x8.5 ET38, with 255/35/18 There is 3.5mm difference in radius. I have 18x8.5 ET32 Advans on my car, front and rear. My tyres are 235/40/18. These are a nice fit, but the lips on the rims are broad. I think it looks great, but it is a concern for parrallel parking. Putting 255 tyre on a 8.5 rim will reduce the risks, but even then the spokes of the advan rim will probably still stick out slightly. |

I've stretched a 255 falken 452 on a 19x8.5 on the front. I think my front offset was +35 and I wasnt lowered too low.

bavarianx,
for a LCI w a staggered set up, what would be the off set to use if i would like to have the rims flushed w the fenders. Would like to run a staggered setup ie. 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear assuming 8.5j front and 9.5j rear. thanks |
