those lease deals on the website are crap. You need to read the fine print. They always require at least 2,500 down and, the model shown is usually not the one referenced in the ad

i agree, they want to get your attention, which they obviously did. you will be paying a completely different price at checkout and they count on you just going for it anyway since you'll already be pumped up to buy.

umm

I checked the site and there are no lease offers for the coupes and when you build one and check lease rates, it says "no lease rate found". I highly doubt they will lease 335i coupes for $539 anytime soon.

The car was configured with a $42,770.00 price tag.

My car was configured at 47K.

I was quoted a $662 p/m lease deal.

Doesn't sound right to me.

How much more p/m should a lease payment go up per thousand?

I was told rule of thumb 20 bucks a month per thousand.

I'm not a numbers guy, can anyone confirm.

That's because the quoted lease figure in the ad does not include TT&L. That could easily add $100/month.

Yes add 8% to the $533 price = $575, so $662 with real options sounds about right.

I also saw that you had to put $2,500 down for that lease.

Yea you can normally negotiate a better lease deal than the special on the website...that's why I'm excited to see the specials where they are!

Good deal? Well, I ran the numbers on a 36 month, 10K lease at full MSRP and full MF markup to 0.0024 and the payment was $569 (with acq rolled into the cap)...so this is NOT a very good deal...not to mention the mistake of putting down $2500 to cap reduction...

And, like the broken record I am, everybody who leases should be able to confirm whether a 'special' lease payment is a good deal or not...if you can't you will get hosed...every number needs to be negotiated separately...cap, acq, MF and verify correct residual.

This may be true, but typically advertised lease specials are an indication that BMW is putting financial backing behind leases. I think the advertised deal is a good sign. Rarely do maunufacturers advertise lease deals on cars that they won't negotiate on, and most of the premium German makes advertised lease deals are on the smaller engine models (Audi and the A4 2.0, MB's C230 and E350, BMW 325, etc).
You could take this deal in as a starting point once you figure out the numbers they are using to support the deal. Work down from there instead of starting from scratch at MSRP.
I see good deals on the horizon!

Best I could get on my 335 that priced out at 45k was 740/month with 1k cap reduction for a 36 month 15k/yr lease. Don't have the MF/etc in front of me. All fees rolled into the lease (tax/tags/etc). Went to several diff dealers and no one could do any better. How much extra is normal to be paying for the added mileage?

It is a good data point (verifies 61% residual on 10K lease) but in this case one is only guessing at what cap is and what was paid for acq and MF...that is why all these numbers need to be known/negotiated.

Go to bmwusa.com and there is a picture that says "lease specials" at the bottom. Or go to the top fo the page under "Shopping" and click "lease offers". If you poked around for 2 min you would have found it.
