help with new wheels

Hey guys,

I have some 18" v710's in the mail on the way to me. I need a shop to mount/balance them with my current 189 RFT and switch over my TPMS. Anyone know of a good place in the westchester area?

I was hoping someone could vouch for a shop they have used. Plenty of places will tell you they can do the work and take your money, but end up screwing something up. I know there is the potential to damage a rim if you aren't used to mounting/unmounting RFT

hell yes, those RFTS are tricky.. gotta find a shop who has handled them before
i'd go to the stealership to get them mounted..

where are you located in nyc ?

Ryan @ RCT performance has a nice mounting and balance machine
the shop is located in queens near college point

where in westchester im a asst. mananger at a mavis discount tire you could always go there. We have done tires on like 3 maybachs

yeah well mavis broke my TPMS and are not willing to fix it... waste of 300 bucks

... so i say go to a legit shop

so how much should I be paying for TPMS install and mounting/balancing?

I read somewhere else that a shop in NY did all that for $25 per wheel. If this place does indeed price match, I want to know of some realistic prices I can throw out

some do it by 25-30/wheel, others do it by labor hours and that should take about 1.5hrs.

worst case sell your rft's, and buy non-rfts. it'll make everyone's life easier.
