BMWCCA Upcoming HPDE CA

Thunderhill Driving School
August 8-9 -
Satisfy your need for speed at our summer driving school at Thunderhill!
Thunderhill is a great place for both first-timers and experienced drivers alike. Come learn the art of high-performance driving from a dedicated team of experienced instructors. This driving school will feature a BMW CCA Club Race as well, bringing you the thrill of watching wheel-to-wheel racing when not driving on the track yourself.
Event cost for this two-day school is $399 for members and $439 for non-members ($439 price includes a non-refundable one-year BMW CCA membership).

San Diego Chapter - High Performance Driving School
September 19-20
Registration for the Driving School opens July 15th. Signup online at sdbmwcca.motorsportreg.com. This will be a two day school at the Buttonwillow Raceway Park. The cost for the school will be $449 if you sign up early and $499 if you sign up after September 12. The fee includes 8 driving sessions, lunches and the Saturday banquet and a nifty hat. If you have any questions, contact Andre Pantic at apexandre@ymail.com

Infineon Driving School
October 31 - November 1
- Fall is here and that means we're returning to Infineon Raceway for our last driving school of the 2009 season.
Come learn the art of high-performance driving at our driving school being held at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma.

Willow Springs Driving School
Saturday, November 21
: 2nd Annual Monty Sidhu Memorial Driving Events Weekend
Open to all. Club membership is not required. If you are 18 or older, hold a valid driver's license and insured you may sign up to drive in any street legal car.
Everyone needs continuing education. If you don't think there's anything left for you to learn, you'll be surprised. It's not about going fast; it's about going safe.
Registration opens in September.
November 21-22 - Hosted by the LA Chapter.

Who's going to these events? I'm going to Buttonwillow and Willow Springs for sure, trying to make it to one more if possible

BW in Sept for sure. Probably Willow too. Infineon is a remote possibility.

Last year it was 95-100 degrees... Don't think it would be any cooler this year...
I probably will run my car stock as well, don't think it would be wise to run Procede level of boost in this kind of heat

Last year it was in mid July though if I recall? Track temp was up in the 160 degree range.

I grew up in the area (Bakersfield) and usually by mid September temperature will hoover around high 80s to mid 90s with an occasional spike up to 100 in rare occasions. I'm in for Buttonwillow and 99.95% sure for WSIR, can't make Infineon (especially not when it happens the weekend before SEMA). May try to convince my dad that his E60 545i needs to see some serious track action at Buttonwillow.

Oh man...Since my folks live in Bakersfield I haven't had the "pleasure" of staying at either Motel 6 when there's a Buttonwillow event. Ever.

I'll definitely be at Buttonwillow, would love to do Infineon, but I have to drive to Vegas for SEMA on Sunday, so that won't happen. And I'd love to do Willow, but I won't have my car anywhere near complete by then.

I'm in charge of reserving all of the staff/instructor rooms for Buttonwillow. I'll put in a good word for you with the air conditioning gods.

I LOVE hanging out with everyone on Friday and Saturday night up in Buttonwillow. The pinnacle of the evening usually happens over at the Willow Ranch. Hopefully Carl will be making an appearance this September.

It's because of the extra "hard" water they have in the area for farming. I remember that feeling when growing up in the area...Then my folks installed water softener in their place and all is good.
