Audi Club?

http://www.audiclubgoldengate.org/Li...g/default.aspx

Hey Steve, You gonna be up here for this one?

I would love to try the Audi club because of what you have said about it. Is there any way for me to not have to go through the beginner process? It would be awful to be running 2:30s around infineon.

I didn't see any way to communicate to them experience on Motorsportreg.com.

I am not going this year...you should be able to ask for Group C/D which is there advanced group. This is the most expensive track in the US for the Audi club for instructors...I think they are charging us $295/2 days..plus the hotel. I can help make sure you are in the advanced group..you can go solo in D...and have an instructor in C/D if you want..its not like the BMW club. Let me know and I can send an email to Terry or Gordon at the ACNA Golden Gate Chapter.

I will be at TH with Hooked on Driving...on Aug 14th..and Sept ??? for a weekend at Buttonwillow with the BMW San Diego chapter.

Yes, you dont want to be in the beginner group with the Audi club if you can do a 2:00 flat at Infineon.

I had no luck not going through the "beginner process". I begged and pleaded but it didn't help. They said that if Schumacher wanted to HPDE with them, he'd also have to do the lane-change, threshold-braking, and slalom exercises.

But, if S4 goes to bat for you, you may have different luck.

That's funny. Here on the East coast our local BMW chapter co-organizes with the Audi club and they are run pretty similar. Experience in one counts towards the other. The jump from beginner to intermediate group was with the Audi club, LOL!
