google is your friend here
search string = auto tint regulations PA first result is www.tintcenter.com/laws/PA/ and it indicates Windshield No tint is allowed on the windshield. Front Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in. Back Side Windows Must allow more than 70% of light in. Rear Window Must allow more than 70% of light in. BTW all of your local tint shops should know the state law. In MO we get 35% light in and no regulations on back windows. Wow PA is really strict!

I have 40% all around including the windsheild....I dont know how accurate that site is since they sell most trucks/suv's with 15%-25% on the rear windows.
From what I have always been told the only law is no tint on windsheild and nothing below 70% on the front 2 windows.

If you have CA, then you need to search more on the forum about the type of tint. You need a 100% ceramic tint.
I am getting my E92 done with Pinnacle F1 tint for $365. |

someone mention to me before that cops cant pull you over for tints as a first offense in the state of pa
what they can do is pull you over for a violation( speeding, red lights and etc) and then give you a tint ticket im not sure how true this is but ( knock on wood ) i was never pulled over for tints kim |

NJ probably has a spot-tint-and-shoot on sight law..
