DIY-PIAA/BREX angel lights
went I got my PIAA angel ligths I figured out that the manual was on japanese only
![]() so here is a little DIY that I did for you guys 1- wait for the engine to cold down ( I learn the hard way) if the engine is cold go to step 2 ![]() 2- under the headlight housing on the passenger side there is going to be a small cover for the angel lights ( see pictures ) 3- after removing the cover for the angel lights, with a torx screwdriver remove the 2 screws that hold the OEM angel light, SAVE them you will need them ( the PIAA set does not come with any screws) 4-take out the original halogen bulb ( see picture) 5- take out the lent ( if you are installing brex you don't need to take out the lents) 6- connect the new angel light ( PIAA or BREX) and turn on your parking lights to see if it works ![]() 7- if it work put everything together and put the cover back now he hard part !!! you have two options 1 remove the intake or jack up the car. (option 2 is the quickest and easiest way ) ![]() 1- jack up the car ( if you prefer to take the intake I don't know how to do it so I can't help you sorry ) 2- remove all the screws ( they are not screws see pictures I just don't know how to say it in english SORRY ) 3- take out the big plastic cover in front of the wheel. now you can see the whole headlight 4- remove the angel light cover 5- repeat step 3 to 7 of the driver side. 6- put the plactic cover back and lower the car 7- enjoy your new angel lights ![]() PD: I also did a little video here is the link you can see the video instead of reading the info above ![]() here is the link for the video http://www.youtube.com/v/czHzO9MjUJA sorry for my bad english ![]()

I just installed my PIAA's into my euro xenons. I must tell you, it is prolly wayyy easier to install these while the housing is sitting on your lap haha.
Also in the DIY there is no mentioning of making sure the PIAA stamp(on front of the bulb) should be facing upwards. Good thing I'm not a moron and could pick that info up from the japanese instructions. Just watch out or you could put the lights in upside down if you don't pay attention. Not sure if they would work incorrectly or not but the pictures said to do it, so I did. Anyways great install guide.

also when I tried to install on the driver's side, I get to the housing, get it off and there are some wires coming out of the ending - what to do with those before I unscrew the torx screws???

sorry that I did not respond early but I had have a lot of HW for school and havent been in the forum lately. 1st to remove the angel light housing there are two click you have to push them up at the same time is a pain in the ass use two small screwdrivers to do it unclip the top and put the screwdriver in and then unclip the bottom there are two wires on the angel housing one green (+) and brown (-) unplug the wires remove the old angel light and plug them back in

calvino, your pics helped on my install (my thread: Installed my PIAA Angel Eyes!)
![]() ![]() I just wanted to add 2 pics for future DIY'ers. The 1st is a pic of the encasing and the top clip. We didn't lift the car so we had to feel for it. We found the bottom one easily, visible in calvino's pics, but the top one was harder to find. As for the 2nd pic, I ran into a prob where one of my rings looked less bright than the other side, and it was somewhat obvious when the headlights were off. Thanks to ///Matt's advice my bro and I were able to fix the problem ![]() 1st pic = showing angel eyes cover, and top clip 2nd pic = after removing cover and stock bulb and lens, 2 protrusions for light source to shine into

he's not snstalling the angel eyes, just the light that illuminates them. There are some aftermarket angel eye kits, but nonw worth trusting. And the e90 headlight is notoriously difficult to open.
