Jb+ warranty?
Hi,
I am planning on getting JB+. Any one had any experience with the system malfunctioning? That is, can this thing break? After all, it's left in the engine bay and are exposed to high temperature. Am I just paranoid? Also any updated version coming out soon? If there's, I assume new software can't be uploaded. Thanks!

There are many JB+s all over southern US for quite some time now. I've had SSTT witch made out of similar materials and installs at TMAP as well for ~15.000k without a single problem. That includes driving in very hot and humid temperatures up to 40C or 100F with AC on.

That isn't that hot really. Try driving in 115 degrees and under the hood it is closer to 150 or 160. Texas, Florida and Arizona have some of the hottest places in the USA. I do think that BMWs aren't designed very well for the hot climates but more for cold climates.

![]() The JB+ was designed to be software upgradable so you have a clear upgrade path. Plus I am sorta local to you (Mississauga) so service if you need it is close by. Mike |

I had an experience where two wires popped out of one of the connectors and I got the tuner manipulation code and reduced power. I sent it to burger and it was fixed and sent back the day they received it. I haven't had a problem since. I experienced great customer service with them and I would recommend the JB+ any day.

I'm also thinking about getting JB+ and I have a question that might seem stupid but just to clear things out for myself
![]() * Have I understood this correctly: If I want to go back to stock performance I simply a: remove the thingy completely from the engine? b: turn the JB+ "performance dial" to zero? |

![]() Multiple variables were taken into consideration with the design of the JB+, especially for something to be sitting in the engine bay. There are customer who have bought the JB+ when it first came out and are still using them without any issues at all. BMS holds a 14 day guarantee, don't worry, you're covered ![]() |
