i agree. BMWs maintain the new car smell quite well and it seems to be a distintive smell too. I could tell if I was in a BMW even if I was blindfolded.
Back to the original topic... no.. I don't use any air freshener. |

If you bake your car in the sun, the new car smell will return momentarily... however, the fume is not good for you.

seriously on a hot summer day, humid, that's all there is, and I don't use air fresherner, I find them not what a fine german automobile should smell like, 10 mths into my car and I still can smell that "new car scent", still loving it! Hope it lasts as long as it could and I agree new car smell for BMWs does tend to last longer, certainly longer than my previous Audi A4.

60k+ miles and a lot of funky smells, mine still smell perfect on its own. Besides I friggin hate car air fresheners.

Every car freshener contains pure chemicals and you guys want to breathe them? The new car smell is actually all the flame retardent chemicals used in your upholstery. Take some lemon or orange peels and leave them underneath the seat. Change them every 2 or 3 days if you really want your car to smell good and not to kill you slowly... there is also some bags that contain wood chips from rose trees....that will last a lot longer....

Try Febreze. Used it to get rid of smell in my car.
