Dealer's actual cost?
Anyone have insight as to what dealers are really paying for an e92? To my understanding they still make a large profit if they were to sell you a car at invoice.
Just curious as I refine my thoughts on pricing/potential offers. Thanks. |

I'm sure they make a profit selling at invoice, but I have no idea how large it may be. I would guess around $1K profit for a typical 335i sold at invoice, but again, that's just a wild guess and I'm thinking it may even be a bit high. Anyone know for sure?

I have herd that dealers make on average about 3-4k per car, but ya gotta love it when a dealer tells you that they don't make any money if they sell a car at invoice.

I got family pricing for my 2009 335i xdrive, Msport, Premium, Cold Weather packages, 4 door. They gave me invoice plus $100. Before taxes and warranty packages, it is $46K and some change. BMW only charges 7% mark up. First thing they did was got rid of the 7%. Then they added all incentives that I qualified for at the time. Hope this helps you guys out!
