335i Order has been "En Route" for ever....How long should it take?

I placed my order with BMW Northwest in Washington July 7. The car went into production within 2 weeks after that. I didn't pay close attention to when the status went to "en route", but I think it was about July 28. Anybody out there on the west coast have an input on how long it takes the boat to get from Germany to the processing center in California?

What ship are you on? If you don't now, call customer service and find out and then you can track the ship.

To California? Between the trip and the VPC time, I would think it could be more than that. To the OP, remember that the website may say "en route" even after you pick up the car, it's that far behind the actual status. Try calling 1-800-831-1117 and get your status. The 800# lags only a day or so behind actual status.

It should take the ship about 3-4 weeks to get to California.

Mine was completed on 9/6 and was status 190 yesterday...meaning it is on its way to Bremerhaven...most likely it will get on the ISOLDE for a 9/15 departure to Port Hueneme...arriving on 10/11.

Maybe we'll be on the same ship.

My dealer told me my car was shipped on 9/5. I called the 1-800 # and they said it was recorded that it was at the port on 9/6 but they had no other details. I assume mine is aboard the Sirius Leader heading towards San Diego. The reason why you had to wait so long is because the factory closed for 3 weeks. I ordered a car June 1st and they ended up shipping it to the EAst Coast so the dealer ordered another one on July 1st and im still waiting....

My dealer found one with my specifications already on board the Sirius Leader. It departed on 9/5 and is estimated to arrive at Port Hueneme 9/28. (Its actual production date is 8/28 if anyone cares.)

I just found out from my CA that I made it on the Pegasus Leader, which departed 9/13. Scheduled to arrive at Pot Huneme on 10/12. This is going to be a painfully long wait.
