Carbon fiber interior, tacky?

Right now I have the the grey poplar interior trim. I've never been a fan of wood trims, this is a advanced piece of technology, not a wooden cottage. So i am looking for an alternative; one of the cheaper options is to CF wrap the interior pieces.

I'm just wondering other peoples thoughts on if it's really tacky. I'd hate to do it, and in a year end up regretting it. The other alternative is getting the brushed aluminum interior, or sucking it up and keeping the wood.

I would do the carbon fabric look, it's more affordable and conforms to the OE carbon leather look.

this is what I'm going to do... $650 isn't exactly "cheap" but these aren't cheap cars...

Its not tacky at all...since M3 uses the similar type of interior. Have a look at this gallery:

IMO i think the glossy carbon is tacky, but the carbon fabric is real nice.

I still prefer the wood.

OMG make it stop

Carbon fiber is hideous. It's the 1950's tailfins of our age.. The only difference is that 70 years later, tailfins are cool. Carbon fiber will be looked upon in 70 years as even more hideous than it is today.
