Disappointing & Weird Dyno sheet. Help! Change my Procede?
* Just realised I wrote Dyno but I meant Drag sheet *
Just got back from the track yesterday and Did A few runs with a fellow e90post member. I was really disappointed of my runs. I did over 15 drag runs in the past and my best time was 13.4 with a trap of 106. I would see plenty of 13.7, 13.5 even 13.8 sometimes and my trap would never be beyond 105. Ive gone to the drag strip plenty of times and all I can think of is switching to JB3 and see how my car responds. My car: 335i coupe, Procede v3( v3.2 2-19) non doomsday Stage 1, BMS DCI, Run flat Tires. Manual transmission VS Stock 335xi with JB3 Map 6, run flat tires, Automatic

Wow man, that sucks! Time to change? Considering it's almost 90F these days here and very humid.

The jb3 does have awd which should account for a good bit of the difference. I'd also like to know what octane was used. neither of your cars is modded in any significant way other than the tune really and your 60 time looks like you could nail the launch a little better (the xi was dominating there). If the tunes were removed I'd expect roughly the same results between your cars stock, albeit slower times by both.

Both cars did not have very good mph. The difference in ET is due to him having AWD as seen in the 60'. Switching to a JB3 won't better your 60'. What transmissions do you guys have? What were some of the other guys MPH? What was outside temp and elevation?

With MT especially it is all about the driver.

By the info you have given, I'd say your guys' cars are very similar in performance and hp. His AT makes up for the added weight/drive train loss of the xi. There could be a small difference in hp, but the biggest difference I see here is that 60' time. Match his 60' and you probably will have a better ET. Performance wise, I'd say the tunes are pretty close. IMO

Just work on that launch and shifting and you can win with no other changes. Might want to update to a new map/firmware though. There have been a lot of changes since Feb. The new maps are unquestionably more powerful.
