Was it too hot today or what?

I parked my car outside for a bit in the strong heat we got today and when I put in the key to start the car, the dash gave me the wrong key icon. It stayed lit for like 2 seconds and it went off. The car started fine though. Whats wrong with the car or is it just a random one time thing?

i dont know much about that but us who have dark color cars (BSM) had some headache today..

My BSM was so hot today, my gas pedal melted and stuck wide open.

The outside temp guage on my car read 34C while driving home from work yesterday afternoon. Granted I was in traffic so the heat from the pavement and other cars likely made it higher than the actual outside temp.
