Can somebody please confirm this:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...45&postcount=6 "blackberry tour does NOT work with 09 models, i don't know why... works fine on my 07 and it's "outdated" idrive, but it just doesn't wanna sync to the 09 idrive... go fig..." I have the Tour now and it works fine with my '07 iDrive but am picking up a '09 E93 with the new iDrive and want to make sure that it does infact work. Thank you very much! |

I'm sure you can try going to the dealer and asking them to let you try your phone on a car with iDrive. Doesnt hurt to try, I mean, If you can't find an answer here.

I was able to pair my Sprint Tour with my 09 e90 and it worked fine for about a week, now it no longer pairs when I get in the car. Now as of 2 days ago when i try to connect with the car the phone restarts and I'm unable to turn the bluetooth on from the phone. From what I'm told it's a phone related issue and does not happened with all Tours. Lucky I'm in my 30 day period so I'm getting it swapped out. I'll keep you posted if that fixes the problem

I have an 09 E90 335i w/ iDrive, and a Verizon Tour. Works perfectly.

I have an 08 335i coupe and first the Curve crapped out on me and now the Tour is doing the same. I've heard BMW can reflash or update the idrive... is this true?

I used the search function and can't seem to find an answer to this question:
Anyone tried using the Blackberry Curve 8900 BMW Snap In Adapter for the Blackberry Tour? http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...productId=2679 I looked at the BB website and the size specs and location of mini USB receptacle seem very similar between the two devices. http://na.blackberry.com/eng/devices...&products=1528 |

BMW cars and Bberry's are notoriously incompatible. You'll have two people with identical cars and identical phones, and one will say it works perfectly, while the other will say it doesn't work at all. It isn't uncommon to have a Blackberry work fine on your car for a year, then one day, it no longer works.
BMW publishes a list of phones which they say are compatible, and it can be found by following this link http://www.bmwusa.com/Standard/Conte...blePhones.aspx |

Actually, my Sprint Tour syncs more reliably (including phonebook transfer) than my VZW Tour - both running identical software versions (VZW 5.0.0.591 and the HJ6 hybrid)

My Tour syncs fine as well. I am on the Telus network (Canada) and have no issues at all.
