Clear coat on non- metallics?

Is there a clear coat on Crimson red?

Any car made after 2000 would have a clear. Many cars had clear coats even before then - BMW started in 94-95 depending on the color.

I hope you're not talking about all car manufacturers because there are plenty of cars made after 2000 that have single stage paint.

An accord I polished last year didn't have a clear coat, I found it odd seeing as how it was an 05 or 06 I believe.

I was actually agreeing with you that most cars did have clear coats from even before 2000, that's why I was surprised to see a single stage paint on such a new car. I worded my reply wrong as well, sorry bout that.
