Broken Fog Light :(
Been out this morning and when i got back i noticed the glass on my near side fog light has shattered . I don't no how its happend a stone or somthing must have hit it .
I was gutted but i thought its only the glass and there isnt any damage to the grill or bumper so i should be able to get it replaced easily and i would be fairly cheap. So off i went to the stealers and they have said the glass cannot be replace and i'll have to buy the hole unit , i got them to price it up for me and they quoted me: Fog Lamp £75.19 +VAT Labour £59.85 +VAT Total £155.30 (inc VAT) I can get it fitted by a friend so i was wondering if anybody knows a place where i can get the lamp cheaper? I've put some pics on for you to see sorry about the quailty though its on a camera phone. Thanks in advance. |

One of mine smashed and it was pretty easy to change myself following the various write ups on this forum.

Yes, they are easy to replace.
I would clear guard the headlights and the fogs, this will prevent this from happening again.

very easy DIY
Happens not infrequently I buy from stealer then fit myself. Have always been a bit worried about buying parts on ebay but if there was a reputable known dealer I would reconsider |

Thanks for your replies, i've had a look on the bay and i can't find any which will fit my car .
I do have the same view as 'tyler durden' i think i will just buy from the stealer and then fit myself, i've looked at the DIY guides and there are guides for replacing the bulb - should be easy to figure the rest out . Ill let you no how it goes haha. Thanks again. Last edited by J.Bradders; 08-24-2009 at 06:48 AM.. |

If you have the time and inclination, why don't you take pics and write up a "how to..."

paintshield did me a full pack but you can get just lights and fogs pre cut pack.
www.paintshield.co.uk call them and ask for Tom Wakeford-Managing Director and top geezer.... |
