Took my car through car wash hell...

and now I have paint swirls EVERYWHERE, so tomorrow I was going to take it to a better car wash that has high speed orbital or polish, canuba hand wax, and clay bar....do you think this should get rid of the swirls? And whats the difference between orbital and polish, which one is better? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Slow down there.

An orbital (such as a Portal Cable 7424XP) is a hand tool, used with polish, to correct imperfections in the paint. The standard complete paint detail process usually goes something like: wash, clay, polish, sealant, and wax.

I would advise you to do some research on the shop you're considering. There are far too many "detailers" out there who can do more harm than good. Some don't have the right products/tools, some will use glaze as a filler to hide the swirls and not fix them, and others just won't do a good job compared to someone with experience.

Check out Autopia forums (or ask here) if there's anyone in your area - I'm sure there is. They should be able to provide you with before/after pictures and information about their process. A 90%+ correction rate detail isn't cheap, it's a time consuming process to get perfect.

+1...Do some more research before you waste more money, time, and hurt your car's feelings.
