e46 CD changer works in e90?

Not sure if this has been asked before but is an 6 CD changer from an E46 compatible with an E92? I suspect not; too good an opportunity for BMW to make some more money!

It will definitely not work. It's an I-bus connector and won't work with our fiberoptics.
