Is It Necessary To Bleed Brakes After Replacing Brake Pads?
after replacing brake pads, is it needed to bleed the brakes/change brake fluid or do i just need to bed in the new brake pads and g2g? help much appreciated. thanks.

No, but it's ideal to bleed especailly if the fluid hasn't been changed. The wheels are already off so why not. For tracking, I'd rather spend the time to bleed the brakes than get a soft pedal.

What they said. Just make sure that when you bleed them, you use a good quality power bleeder. Not only will it make life easier, there is no way to get air in the system.

You don't have to, but...
If you press the piston back in without opening the bleeder valve you are pushing gunk upstream in the system which isn't particularly good (its not the end of the world, just not optimum). If you open the bleeder valve (when compressing the piston), you need to bleed. Its a good idea to change the fluid every two years anyway...

Amen! You're already in there, so just bleed them as you go. It's super simple and definitely helps prevent boiling while on track by purging old fluid that has soaked up water over time.
