I had a vinyl overlay on my roof witch I had to remove now im thinking if I should do the vinyl again or just paint it ...what do you guys think? thanks ..

i got a good price from a guy he only wants 200$ to paint it he said he will hook me up cuz i always go ther when i need something painted..

Im in the bronx ..im thinking about taking my car next wednesday ther and let him do it and see how good he doese my roof and if it comes out right i also ask him about you ok

Vinyl it, paint is permanent and when it comes time to sell the car might hurt resale.

Just curious what you mean by this? My experience has been that a good vinyl that is correctly applied can look much better than a paint job at 1/10th the price(or less).

If you guys know someone who does paint, make sure you get references... It's easy to get sucked in but don't confuse inexpensive work with cheap work. A poor paint job will ruin the look of the car and cost you a LOT more in the long run.

I haven't seen a good vinyl job yet unfortunately... i've seen a number of the guys cars up close and theres surface scratches on the first day. Also area's that have directional heat marks from the squegee pushing on the film, not to mention the sharkfins have all been piece worked together. I agree 110% if you find someone who can do it perfectly its definately a better option for those who might change their mind on the look or have to do a lease return. But as I said unfortunately i have yet to see one that looked like a quality enough job for my picky ass eye!!

I know and im scared that the paint might not come out right as i want it ..i had vinyl on my car and it reali looked nice but i got a dent on my roof the other day so the dealer told me that i have to remove the vinyl so they can fix the dent ..
